Bartender – Sun International
Main Purpose of the Job
Prepare and deliver exceptional beverage services within banqueting and restaurant operations to ensure Sun International’s high standards are consistently met and professionally executed.
Prepared Work Area
- Prepare mise-en-place and complete necessary checks for service readiness.
- Inspect bar displays and equipment to ensure optimal appearance and functionality.
- Stock the bar appropriately for seamless service.
Service Execution
- Stay updated on beverage trends and techniques to enhance menu offerings.
- Adhere to Food & Beverage standard operating procedures at all times.
- Accurately take and input guest orders in a timely manner.
- Recommend and explain beverage menu items to guests.
- Prepare and present drinks according to guest preferences and outlet standards.
- Proactively attend to guest requests.
- Clear used glasses promptly.
- Process guest billing and perform end-of-shift cash-ups.
- Complete beverage stock sheets for every shift.
Bar Standards
- Follow F&B SOPs for all bar-related tasks.
- Comply with health, safety, hygiene, and environmental regulations.
- Properly use and store operating equipment as per safety guidelines.
- Assist in stock takes and perform daily counts of bar essentials.
- Report any discrepancies per company standards.
Customer Engagement
- Greet guests warmly, maintaining a friendly and respectful demeanor.
- Interact professionally, offering tailored solutions and recommendations.
- Identify and remember customer preferences.
- Inform guests about facilities, promotions, and reward programs.

Minimum Requirements
- Matric or equivalent qualification.
- 2+ years of bartending experience.
