Job Description
The OSS Hastings Learnership (12 Months) is a structured work-based program designed to provide unemployed youth with valuable workplace experience. This initiative offers hands-on skills development to help participants build a foundation for future careers in the Financial and Insurance sectors.
Selected candidates will enter a 12-month learnership agreement (not an employment Contract) with Hastings Direct and receive a monthly stipend of R12,000. This program is ideal for individuals passionate about call centre operations and eager to gain experience in the industry.
Working Hours
You will work the following shifts based on a pre-determined roster:
- Friday to Monday (9 hours)
- Saturdays (8 hours)
- Sundays (5 hours)
- Two weekdays off (Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday)
- One day per week dedicated to on-site Full Qualifications training
Public Holidays
You will be required to work a full day on South African Public Holidays if scheduled, except for UK Public Holidays.

Qualifications
- Matric certificate
- Computer literacy (MS Office)
- No prior work experience required
INSETA Learnership Eligibility
To qualify, applicants must:
- Be a South African citizen
- Not have previously participated in an INSETA learnership
- Be aged between 18 and 35
- Have been unemployed for the last 6 months
