Responsibilities
The Area Sales Manager (ASM) will lead regional operational teams within the Modern Trade (MT) channel, ensuring Every Day Great Execution (EDGE) of PepsiCo’s objectives. You will collaborate with PFS Regional Managers, Customer Teams, Demand Acceleration, and Marketing to drive growth and precision execution across Snacks, Food & Beverage, Grains, and Bakeries.

Key Accountabilities Include:

  • Deliver on volume, revenue, and profit targets across multiple business units.
  • Manage 3rd Party Agency (PFS) relationships.
  • Set regional objectives, investment levels, and priorities for the Inland Central area.
  • Monitor performance, analyze trends, and adjust strategies to optimize results.
  • Lead and develop regional PFS teams to achieve business goals.
  • Drive productivity initiatives, including waste reduction.
  • Collaborate with Regional SPL, NAMs, and RKAMs to align strategies.
  • Ensure effective Point-of-Purchase (POP) execution and control.
  • Implement and direct go-to-market strategies for Modern Trade.
  • Conduct weekly operational reviews and foster continuous improvement.
  • Mentor, coach, and performance-manage teams for sustained success.
  • Oversee PO1 Strategy execution across all categories.
  • Manage scheduling, leave, training needs, and budget planning.

Qualifications

  • 3-year degree or equivalent (Commercial qualification preferred).
  • 7-10 years in FMCG sales management.
  • Strong negotiation and selling skills.
  • Customer-centric approach with commercial and financial acumen.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Sound knowledge of organizational processes and controls.
