Branch Manager – Kuruman 1

Purpose of the Role:
The Branch Manager is responsible for the financial, business, marketing, and people management of the branch.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management:

  • Continuously monitor and manage branch performance, including:
    • New business loan advances
    • Interest revenue
    • Fee income
    • Branch expenses
    • Age analysis
    • Provisions and impairments

Business/Compliance Management:

  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements, including NCA lending policies.
  • Adhere to collections policies and procedures.
  • Investigate and report non-compliance to the Area Manager.
  • Monitor potential fraud and report suspicious activities.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting, with daily/monthly balances maintained at 100% accuracy.
  • Manage maintenance of company hardware and software.

Sales and Marketing Management:

  • Develop and implement sales and marketing plans to enhance branch performance.
  • Focus on cross-selling non-loan products.
  • Drive community engagement through targeted marketing initiatives.

People Management:

  • Lead, motivate, and monitor branch staff performance.
  • Facilitate effective communication between branches and Area Managers.
  • Oversee staff training, promotions, appointments, and salary adjustments.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Matric qualification.
  • Sales and marketing qualifications advantageous.

Experience:

  • 2+ years in microfinance or banking.
  • Minimum 2 years in a managerial role.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication, numeracy, and administrative skills.
  • Proficiency in company products and pricing.
  • Computer literacy and ability to manage records accurately.
  • Conflict resolution and multilingual proficiency (advantageous).

Additional Requirements:

  • Clear ITC record.
  • Ability to maintain 100% accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Proactive sales and marketing execution.
  • Effective people management and motivation.
