BDO South Africa is seeking an IFRS Technical Junior Manager to join our IFRS Technical Team in Johannesburg or Cape Town.
Purpose of the Role:
The IFRS Technical Junior Manager will provide technical accounting support to audit and advisory teams, develop and deliver training, and contribute to technical accounting discussions at both local and global levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical accounting consultations to audit teams and clients.
- Draft technical accounting opinions and guidance.
- Communicate updates on IFRS methodology, standards, and procedures.
- Prepare thought leadership articles for internal and external audiences.
- Support advisory engagements related to new IFRS implementations.
- Develop and present IFRS training for staff and clients.
- Manage client engagement processes, including risk assessments and invoicing.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Analyses transactions and determines appropriate IFRS treatments.
- Conducts research on straightforward accounting queries.
- Creates and delivers technical training content.
- Researches and summarises new accounting standards.
- Thrives in a collaborative team environment.
Requirements:
- B.Com Honours.
- CA(SA) or similar qualification.
- Strong knowledge of IASB accounting standards and relevant financial reporting regulations.
