Job Purpose
To perform chemical testing on Finished Product and Water Samples.
Key Job Outputs
- Verify sample alignment with the Production Program and label copy.
- Follow correct testing procedures and ensure accurate result calculations.
- Collect and release samples at appropriate process stages.
- Conduct monthly water sampling and testing.
- Perform finished product testing using pharmacopoeias/SOPs and instruments (HPLC, IR, UV, AA, FTIR, Flame photometer, etc.).
- Initiate out-of-specification investigations and report failures to management.
- Ensure equipment is calibrated and validated before use.
- Properly discard samples post-analysis.
- Determine result acceptability and consult management for retesting if needed.
- Support investigations of out-of-specification results.
- Ensure compliance with Analytical Report limits.
- Test customer complaints when required.
Required Learning
- BSc Degree or National Diploma in Chemistry.
- 2–3 years of lab experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry.
- HPLC experience in a Pharmaceuticals Quality Control Laboratory is advantageous.
