Introduction:
As the Key Account Executive, you will report to the Head: Sales and Distribution and play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by managing, planning, and implementing key account strategies. Your expertise in building relationships, identifying opportunities, and account management will be critical in ensuring long-term client success.
What Will You Do?
Key Account Management
- Manage a portfolio of key strategic customer and intermediary relationships.
- Develop and execute tailored solutions that enhance customer satisfaction, loyalty, and profitability.
Customer Relationship Management / Account Management
- Build, develop, and implement relationship management plans for strategic, complex accounts.
- Facilitate seamless engagement between Rand Mutual and partner organizations to ensure effective communication and issue resolution.
- Maintain ongoing partner satisfaction by identifying and addressing opportunities for improvement within the CRM system.
- Strengthen relationships with decision-makers to foster long-term collaboration.
Customer Needs Clarification
- Engage with partners at various levels to understand their requirements, leveraging internal specialists to analyze data and align solutions with mid- to long-term needs.
Sell Partner Propositions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create customized product and service solutions.
- Negotiate agreements that balance partner needs with profitability, ensuring compliance with commercial standards.
Promoting Customer Focus
- Drive initiatives to enhance internal collaboration and strengthen external partner relationships.
Sales Opportunities Creation
- Build a strong network within the local government sector and represent Rand Mutual at industry events.
- Gather market intelligence to elevate the company’s reputation and uncover new opportunities.
Operational Compliance
- Monitor adherence to company policies and regulatory standards, addressing non-compliance effectively.
Personal Capability Building
- Serve as a subject matter expert in growth strategy, product policy, or operational management.
- Maintain industry knowledge through continuous professional development and networking.

Requirements
What Will You Bring to the Table?
- Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Business Management, or equivalent (Post Graduate Degree advantageous).
- 6+ years of relevant experience, including 3 years in planning and resource management.
- Experience in local government, mining, insurance, or metal industries is beneficial.
- Strong knowledge of group strategy, client insurance plans, and industry challenges.
