Exciting Opportunity: Broker Consultant (Bloemfontein) – Hollard Insure
Hollard Insure’s Broker Distribution team in the Central Region is seeking a dynamic Broker Consultant to join our growing business.
Role Objectives:
- Develop and maintain strong broker relationships to attract and expand profitable business.
- Quickly build trust and gain a deep understanding of broker portfolios.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Marketing
- Acquire new business from brokers while nurturing existing relationships.
- Drive growth (including organic growth) within the division.
- Promote Hollard products using consultative selling techniques.
- Support marketing efforts by addressing broker inquiries, resolving issues (policy status, billing, etc.), and explaining new products.
- Deliver engaging presentations to brokers and agents.
Account Management
- Achieve targets for volume and quality of new business in line with company standards.
- Manage assigned portfolio effectively.
- Identify and implement strategies to enhance productivity, profitability, and portfolio growth.
- Maintain and renew policies while ensuring endorsements are accurately rated and processed.
- Analyze segment performance and recommend actions to improve underwriting results.
- Monitor premium collections and collaborate with credit control to address arrears monthly.
Underwriting & Risk Analysis
- Evaluate broker-submitted data to approve risk selection, coverage, and pricing.
- Propose innovative solutions for rating plans, coverage, and payment terms.
- Reject non-viable risks.
- Ensure accurate and timely policy transactions (quotes, new business, endorsements, renewals).
- Maintain proper reinsurance arrangements where applicable.
