As a Junior Economist, you will conduct research, analyze trends, and provide insights on financial strategies, market dynamics, and policy impacts. Key Responsibilities
Economic Analysis & Research
- Conduct market analysis and economic research to support client projects
- Perform quantitative assessments related to climate risk and sustainability strategies
- Develop economic models and forecasts to guide strategic decisions
- Analyze market trends, regulatory changes, and economic indicators
Client Engagement & Delivery
- Prepare and present clear, actionable insights for clients
- Contribute to client reports, presentations, and deliverables
- Support client meetings with data-driven recommendations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on integrated consulting solutions
Business Development
- Assist in identifying and developing new sustainability and climate economics opportunities
- Support proposal development for consulting engagements
- Contribute to thought leadership and market positioning
- Participate in industry events and networking
Data Management & Visualization
- Design and maintain economic and market databases
- Create data visualizations and dashboards for internal and client use
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and accessibility
- Develop automated reporting tools and workflows
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, or a related quantitative field
- 2-4 years of experience in economic analysis, research, or consulting
- Strong academic background with proven analytical skills
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in database management (SQL, Access, or similar)
- Advanced data visualization skills (Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent)
- Strong quantitative and statistical analysis capabilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications

Industry Experience
- Previous consulting experience, particularly in sustainability or environmental sectors
- Experience advising corporate clients on strategic initiatives
- Knowledge of carbon markets, renewable energy, or climate finance
Reporting Structure
- Reports to: Lead Economist – Sustainability
- Team: Part of a 6-person economics team
- Collaboration: Works across multidisciplinary consulting teams
