Trainee Manager – Shoprite Holdings
The Trainee Manager will oversee daily store operations under the guidance of the Branch Manager as part of the Trainee Manager Programme. Responsibilities include driving sales, managing customer interactions, merchandising, stock control, cash handling, financial administration, and team supervision. The role ensures exceptional retail execution to enhance customer satisfaction and store performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve sales and profitability targets by executing divisional strategies.
- Deliver superior customer service through store presentation, product displays, and efficient sales processes.
- Address customer complaints in line with company policies.
- Track and report daily performance against sales targets.
- Manage stock levels, conduct quality checks, and minimize losses through compliance with security protocols.
- Implement pricing strategies and promotional activities.
- Place orders and replenish merchandise as needed.
- Handle administrative duties, including employee documentation, reporting, and daily transaction records.
- Conduct financial reconciliations and inventory checks.
- Ensure team adherence to security, sales, and record-keeping policies.
- Assist in staffing coordination, performance management, and team development.
- Monitor health and safety policy compliance.
