Foreman Production – Enaex

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the organizational strategy by understanding key strategic drivers and providing annual input.
  • Implement the departmental strategy and align with the overall business strategy.
  • Execute the departmental operations plan, including projects and key performance measures, and submit progress reports.
  • Track and report on department performance, identifying progress and areas of concern.
  • Monitor operational performance, address anomalies, and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with local and corporate requirements, promoting ethical behavior and integrity.
  • Oversee business processes, assess efficiency, and implement improvements.
  • Develop and enforce departmental policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor adherence to policies and procedures, addressing non-compliance promptly.
  • Optimize departmental systems and software, enhancing utilization and functionality.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and adjust policies and procedures accordingly.
  • Define and implement plant production plans to meet delivery targets.
  • Maintain product quality by enforcing standards and resolving defects.
  • Manage start-up and shut-down processes while ensuring seamless operations.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize production and reduce wastage.
  • Oversee SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment) implementation and compliance.
  • Define SHE monitoring standards and ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Address SHE non-compliance by reviewing practices and enforcing corrective measures.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Represent the company in industry discussions and initiatives.
  • Manage service providers by setting service levels and monitoring performance.
  • Recruit staff by interviewing candidates and evaluating performance.
  • Ensure optimal resourcing to meet operational demands.
  • Set performance expectations, provide feedback, and address performance concerns.
  • Support staff development through mentoring and skills enhancement.
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies and resolve non-compliance issues.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric/Grade 12 (with Mathematics, Science, and English).
  • Explosives Management SLP (Preferred).
  • 5-7 years of experience as a Plant Operator or similar role.
  • 2-4 years of supervisory experience.
