Key Responsibilities:
Compliance & Process Improvement
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of policies and processes, participate in training, and address queries as needed.
- Identify and propose process improvements by presenting recommendations to management with supporting details.
MMU Safety & Maintenance
- Perform daily pre-start safety checks, including equipment inspection, fluid levels, controls, and reporting issues.
- Operate and maintain the MMU, including first-line maintenance, housekeeping, and decontamination as per schedule.
- Ensure proficiency with the IBIS Control System and monitor for abnormal conditions.
Blasting & Quality Control
- Assemble primers safely, following specifications, inspections, and labeling requirements.
- Prime blast holes according to design, inspect placements, and address discrepancies.
- Conduct on-bench quality checks for drill patterns, hole depths, and stemming lengths, reporting deviations.
Safety, Health & Environment (SHE)
- Implement and review SHE practices within deadlines.
- Stay informed on SHE standards and comply with requirements at all times.
Stakeholder & Team Collaboration
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, providing and receiving feedback to maintain strong relationships.
- Monitor service provider performance, address concerns, and implement corrective actions.
- Support team members, participate in events, and uphold company values.
Self & Organizational Development
- Identify and pursue professional development opportunities.
- Participate in company initiatives and embody Enaex values daily.
Requirements:
- Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Valid Code 14 Driver’s License (manual transmission).
- Blasting Assistant Certificate.
- Competency A Certificate.
- 2+ years of Code 14 manual transmission driving experience.
- 2+ years of dangerous goods transportation experience.
