Job Purpose
The Board’s enterprise risk management (ERM) mandate is executed through transparency, collaboration, oversight, and assurance activities across the three lines of defense. As Group Head Risk & Resilience at Hollard, you will lead the second line of defense, driving the development and implementation of the ERM Framework (ERMF), policies, and systems. Your leadership will ensure the successful execution of the Board-approved risk management program, fostering a strong risk and control environment while enabling first-line management to achieve strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
The Group Head Risk & Resilience will adapt to evolving business needs while delivering on the following core responsibilities:
Governance
- Develop, maintain, and manage the ERMF and related policies.
- Establish governance structures to monitor implementation, provide oversight, and drive constructive challenge.
Risk Management
- Design and execute a risk-based program to identify, assess, manage, and escalate risks.
- Lead thematic reviews, develop risk indicators, and generate insights on the control environment.
- Integrate risk appetite and tolerance into strategic planning and decision-making.
- Quantify and model risks across credit, market, operational, insurance, and strategic domains.
- Enhance ERM maturity and foster a strong risk culture at Hollard.
- Investigate risk incidents and implement corrective actions.
- Automate and refine risk analysis and reporting tools.
- Develop and deliver risk training and awareness initiatives.
Business Continuity
- Strengthen business continuity management (BCM) capabilities to ensure preparedness, detection, response, and recovery.
- Assess interconnected risks within Hollard’s value chain and develop contingencies.
Industry & Business Insight
- Maintain deep knowledge of the business environment, strategy, challenges, and emerging industry trends.
- Proactively address evolving risks to safeguard Hollard’s resilience.
