The Role: Website Content Editor
We are looking for a skilled Website Content Editor to manage, optimise, and enhance our websites using WordPress, Elementor, and WooCommerce. This role is crucial in ensuring our digital presence is visually compelling, SEO-friendly, and user-focused while aligning with our brand and business goals.
As part of our team, you’ll collaborate with marketing, product, design, and development teams to deliver dynamic web content, support e-commerce operations, and continuously refine the user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and update website content using WordPress and Elementor.
- Maintain product information in WooCommerce, including pricing, descriptions, and images.
- Implement SEO best practices—meta tags, structured content, image optimisation, and performance tuning.
- Design and optimise error-free, responsive web pages following UI/UX principles.
- Prepare visual assets using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and XD.
- Collaborate with designers to bring mockups and wireframes to life.
- Coordinate with marketing and sales teams to publish blogs, landing pages, and promotions.
- Test updates across browsers and devices for consistency and functionality.
- Monitor website performance and recommend improvements.
- Work with developers to troubleshoot front-end issues.
- Maintain geo-specific product availability using KML files.
- Participate in Agile meetings to align on web initiatives.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience managing websites in a marketing or e-commerce environment.
- Expertise in WordPress, Elementor, and WooCommerce.
- Strong knowledge of on-page SEO, page speed optimisation, and image compression.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD).
- Understanding of UI/UX principles and responsive design.
- Experience with Google Analytics or Search Console.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and web best practices.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Basic HTML and CSS knowledge.
- Exposure to Agile or Scrum methodologies.
- Knowledge of content calendar tools (Trello, Jira, Asana).
Nice to Have:
- Basic JavaScript knowledge.
- Experience with other CMS platforms.
- Familiarity with A/B testing tools (Hotjar, Crazy Egg).
- Experience with KML files and location-based data.
