Job Description
As a Specialist Financial Accounting, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing month-end processes, including standard journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and financial reporting to internal management and stakeholders.
- Preparing complex financial calculations and schedules for transactions such as concentrate purchases, income tax, royalties, and joint venture accounting.
- Assisting in the preparation of consolidated financial statements for Valterra Platinum Limited and standalone financials for subsidiaries.
- Engaging with external auditors and key internal stakeholders to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Qualifications
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) or equivalent finance and accounting qualification.
Experience
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in financial accounting.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Proficiency in SAP (advantageous).
- Experience with Wdesk (Workiva) (advantageous).
