As a Wholesale Specialist, your primary focus will be representing and growing the Red Bull business with assigned Independent Wholesalers in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN). You’ll drive sales by developing annual business plans, ensuring product availability, visibility, and effective communication while maximizing distribution, execution, and volume growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Territory Coverage
- Efficiently cover all assigned outlets at optimal frequencies while maintaining cost-effective route optimization.
- Develop a deep understanding of the geographic and demographic landscape in KZN.
- Implement and sustain an effective Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy.
Perfect Store
- Maintain and expand the Perfect Store database, focusing on availability, distribution, pricing, and visibility.
- Achieve quarterly KPIs, including Perfect Store standards and outlet volume growth.
- Build strong relationships and influence decision-makers through compelling insights.
Stock Management
- Ensure Red Bull SKUs are consistently in stock and displayed in all outlets.
- Maintain optimal stock levels to guarantee uninterrupted product availability.
- Manage free goods budget for efficient execution.
POS Management
- Secure and enhance in-store brand presence for Red Bull.
- Plan, order, and position POS materials accurately across outlets.
- Ensure promotional compliance from launch day.
Budget Management
- Oversee allocated budgets (e.g., incentives, free goods, POS, regional accounts).
Other Responsibilities
- Analyze regional opportunities and take strategic action.
- Build strong relationships with top wholesalers.
- Utilize Red Bull systems and reports to maximize opportunities.
- Stay informed on competitor activity in the wholesale and distributor landscape.
EXPERIENCE
Your skills and expertise:
- Proven sales track record.
- FMCG experience (Wholesale background preferred).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated with attention to detail.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Local market knowledge of KZN is beneficial.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Willingness to travel 70-80% of the time.
