We are looking for a motivated and skilled NAM Assistant to join our Growth team, supporting our Pick n Pay account.

Job Description
The NAM Assistant will provide critical support to the National Account Manager, ensuring smooth account operations and meeting both internal and external customer needs. The role requires a decisive, efficient, and innovative professional with an FMCG background in account management.

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric
  • Marketing or sales degree/diploma
  • Valid Code EB driver’s license
  • Minimum 3 years of account management or administration experience

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support the National Account Manager in managing key accounts and building strong relationships with customer representatives.
  • Assist in developing and executing account strategies and plans.
  • Conduct competitive market research and competitive analysis.
  • Participate in sales forecasting and promotional planning.
  • Track and measure the success of growth initiatives (promotions, activations, product launches).
  • Monitor and report customer sales performance.
  • Manage pricing files and address related queries.
  • Engage with customers via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
  • Schedule and attend customer meetings to drive account objectives.
  • Analyze customer product assortments and identify opportunities.
  • Assist in preparing sales presentations and professional collateral (PowerPoint, Excel, graphs, etc.).
  • Implement promotional activity schedules to drive revenue and volume growth.
  • Present product innovations and execute customer-specific plans.
  • Ensure pricing and promotional compliance across categories.
