Pick n Pay is looking for a dynamic Head of Customer Insights & Reporting to lead the development and implementation of a marketing insights and reporting framework. Your role will be key in turning data into actionable intelligence that drives marketing and trading strategy.
Minimum Requirements
- Degree in Statistics, Actuarial, Marketing Analytics, or Business Intelligence (Honours preferred)
- 8-10 years’ experience in data analysis, customer insights, or retail analytics
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau), SQL/data querying, CRM systems, predictive analytics, report automation, and research marketing
- Experience with customer platforms (Panels, Qualitative & Quantitative Research)

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain an insights and reporting framework, synthesizing data from loyalty programs, market research, and sales into actionable recommendations.
- Design and manage dashboards and reporting tools to track customer behaviour, campaign effectiveness, and marketing ROI.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing insights team.
- Collaborate with Loyalty and BI teams for data extraction and integration.
- Deliver strategic recommendations to enhance promotional planning and brand strategy.
- Build predictive analytics capabilities to forecast trends and opportunities.
- Conduct competitor analysis and prepare weekly and ad hoc reports.
- Manage postmortems and performance tracking.
- Develop customer strategies for key 7-9 annual customer events.
- Oversee the Brand Tracker to ensure continuous improvement.
