At PwC, our Transfer Pricing team is a specialist line of service within our Corporate and International Tax consulting practice. We help global clients develop compliant, tax-efficient structures that advance their business goals. As a Transfer Pricing Senior Associate, you will work in a dynamic team environment, managing multiple engagements simultaneously while providing high-value strategic advice.
Key Knowledge and Skills:
- Deep expertise in Transfer Pricing methodologies, OECD guidelines, and local documentation requirements.
- Experience advising multinational entities on:
- Transfer pricing policies
- Transfer pricing documentation planning
- Intercompany pricing arrangements (tangible goods, services, IP, financing)
- Tax dispute resolution (SARS, MAPs, APAs)
- Knowledge of corporate income tax, business structures, and global transfer pricing trends.
- Ability to deliver clear, technically sound advice under tight deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving, project management, and leadership skills.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Develop and review Transfer Pricing documentation and advisory reports.
- Conduct benchmarking studies and assist with statutory audits.
- Prepare exchange control applications and fairness reports.
- Manage client relationships, ensuring revenue targets are met.
- Mentor junior team members and review their work.
- Collaborate across PwC teams (tax, deals, audit) and international offices.
- Oversee project economics (budgets, billing, risk compliance).
- Stay updated on tax regulations and leverage PwC digital tools.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in Economics, Accounting, Law, Finance (NQF 7).
- Postgraduate tax/economics qualification (NQF 8) preferred.
- 2-5 years of Transfer Pricing/International Tax experience in consulting.
- Additional training in Transfer Pricing is a plus.
