Woolworths is looking for a Finance First Line Manager to support financial and operational performance within the Transport business unit. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate reporting, budget management, financial controls, and alignment with supply chain excellence.
Main Purpose
To provide accurate, complete, and timely operational and financial information that supports decision-making and drives performance within the Transport function.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver all Transport scorecards in alignment with strategy using INVOCOM methodology

Support and execute the Transport one-year operating plan, budget, and scorecard with a focus on continuous improvement

Prepare and distribute operational and financial reports in a timely and accurate manner

Produce weekly and monthly Transport flash reports

Assist in compiling and managing Transport budgets

Prepare monthly forecasts for the Transport unit

Ensure accurate reconciliation of all Transport costs

Implement and maintain strong financial controls

Manage external supplier and backhaul invoicing
-
Oversee Transport age analysis and related reconciliations
-
Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

Act as contingency support for Local Transport or Trunking FLM when required

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 with a Diploma or Degree in Cost Management Accounting or a relevant Finance qualification

Management or supervisory training is beneficial

Exposure to quality assurance methodologies such as Six Sigma is advantageous

Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in Finance and Admin

Previous experience in a managerial or supervisory role

Advanced computer literacy, particularly in Excel

Experience with Oracle and knowledge of the Retail/FMCG sector is an advantage
