Role Purpose
The Employee Engagement Intern assists in coordinating and executing engagement initiatives, internal communications, and events to enhance employee experience. This role supports the Employee Engagement team with operational and administrative tasks, ensuring seamless execution of campaigns and activities.
Requirements
- A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Communications (advantageous).
- Knowledge of copywriting for various platforms (advantageous).
- Basic design skills using tools like Adobe (advantageous).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Passion for employee engagement and internal communications.
Duties & Responsibilities
4. Internal Communication
- Support internal communication efforts, including content collation and distribution.
- Manage welcome and vacancy mailers, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Monitor internal communication mailboxes and resolve undelivered emails.
- Assist in maintaining SharePoint sites (Quest, Momentum Investments) with updated content.
- Proofread and edit content for web, email, print, and social media.
- Contribute to campaign execution by sourcing stories, images, and multimedia.
- Assist with copywriting and design tasks.
- Generate personalised certificates and CEO welcome letters.
- Support leadership communication initiatives, including well-being campaigns.
4. Events
- Assist in event coordination: venue bookings, catering, branding, and vendor liaison.
- Support logistics for conferences, wellness events, and webinars.
- Monitor RSVPs and provide on-site event assistance.
- Prepare event materials (agendas, name tags, presentations).
- Conduct post-event evaluations and track attendee feedback.
- Collaborate with the Executive Assistant on event execution.
4. Stakeholder Engagement
- Build relationships with internal teams and external partners.
- Collaborate with HR to align engagement initiatives.
4. General Support
- Participate in onsite activations, including desk drops and collateral distribution.
- Manage competitions, prizes, and promotional materials.
- Maintain the HR calendar for all engagement activities.
- Assist with video/photography coordination and media asset management.
- Identify opportunities to enhance employee engagement.
4. Reporting
- Track SharePoint, MS Streams, and CLA system metrics.
- Assist with quarterly business review (QBR) data collection.
- Report on engagement initiative expenses and ROI.
