Responsibilities
Lead the brand and consumer agenda for PepsiCo’s Convenience Foods and Beverages categories in South Africa, driving growth through strategic mix deployment, portfolio leadership, and innovation. Key brands include Ceres, Liqui Fruit, Lipton, Bokomo, FutureLife, and Weet-Bix.

  • Own brand equity, market share, and top-line growth while developing communication strategies.
  • Align marketing plans with PepsiCo’s long-term mission and vision, ensuring cross-functional execution.
  • Lead media strategy, budget management, and team development to deliver short- and long-term objectives.
  • Drive innovation and new product launches in partnership with Commercialisation and R&D.
  • Strengthen consumer engagement through digital and traditional platforms.
  • Manage external agencies and internal stakeholders within PepsiCo’s marketing ecosystem.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and execute strategic growth plans with the Category GM and SSA CMO.
  • Optimize marketing investments and prioritize brand initiatives per PepsiCo’s DICE framework.
  • Align brand calendars with Go-To-Market (GTM) and Digital Experience (DX) teams.
  • Lead long-term portfolio and pricing strategies, ensuring alignment with the Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
  • Foster team development and marketing excellence to drive brand health, loyalty, and SOM gains.
  • Deliver revenue (NR) and profit (NOPBT) targets through innovation and pipeline execution.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years in brand marketing (FMCG preferred), with 5+ years as a Marketing Director.
  • Honours or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Management, or Economics.
  • Proven success in multi-category portfolio management and 360° brand communication.
  • Expertise in digital marketing, agency management, and programmatic content.
  • Strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking, and leadership in matrix environments.
  • Track record in innovation, brand positioning (TCP), and cross-functional collaboration.
