What will you do?
- Grow Sanlam Retail Mass’s customer base and revenue by developing and executing the retail branch strategy.
- Guide and standardize the activities of Sales Consultants to align with strategic objectives.
- Foster a service-driven culture within the branch to enhance client experience.
- Oversee daily branch operations and management.
- Serve as the branch’s key representative in the financial services industry.
What will make you successful in this role?
Strategy Development and Business Planning:
- Collaborate with the Area Manager to translate provincial strategy into actionable branch targets and metrics.
- Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual business planning.
- Manage operational costs within budget and develop incentive programs for branch consultants.
Retail Branch Sales Delivery:
- Plan and execute activations, campaigns, and community events to attract new clients.
- Represent the branch at industry forums to drive awareness and business growth.
Sales and Operational Effectiveness:
- Communicate sales targets and performance metrics to Branch Consultants.
- Monitor sales performance and implement corrective measures where necessary.
- Optimize support functions (HR, Technology, etc.) to improve branch efficiency.
Service Culture Development:
- Streamline branch processes to deliver superior client experiences.
- Implement and monitor service delivery standards and SLAs.
- Resolve client complaints within agreed timeframes and provide feedback.
Compliance, Quality, and Risk Management:
- Ensure adherence to compliance, quality standards, and FSCA regulations.
- Uphold the Treating the Customer Fairly (TCF) framework in all operations.
People Management:
- Partner with HR to build high-performing teams.
- Oversee talent management, performance, and development of branch staff.
- Support staff accreditation and continuous professional growth.
Monthly Planning and Reporting:
- Analyze sales and service reports to drive improvement and future planning.
Qualifications:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- RE1 and RE5 certifications
- 120 Wealth Management credits or FSCA-recognized tertiary qualification
- Annual Class of Business accreditation
- Compliance with CPD requirements
