Job Purpose:
Lead and manage the dispensary and clinic operations to deliver high standards of pharmaceutical care, ensuring accurate and safe dispensing, professional advice, compliance, and achievement of sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality pharmaceutical care, including accurate dispensing, generic substitution, and professional counselling, in line with Clicks’ standards, good pharmacy practice, and SAPC regulations.

  • Manage all operational activities of the dispensary, including stock control, shrinkage prevention, housekeeping, and administration, ensuring compliance with merchandising standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Ensure operational viability through sound financial management, focusing on dispensary and clinic targets, managing expenses, and taking proactive corrective action.

  • Lead, motivate, and develop employees, including learners and interns, to build capacity and capability to meet current and future business needs.

  • Schedule staff according to labour policies, ensuring departments are fully staffed, and manage weekly time, attendance, and HR record submissions.

  • Implement customer service initiatives that enhance the patient experience, drive loyalty, and achieve club card participation targets.

  • Promote integration and collaboration with the clinic and healthcare aisle to offer customers a complete healthcare solution.

  • Drive cohesion between store operations, pharmacy, and clinic teams to ensure consistent service delivery.

  • Foster a high-performance culture that supports employee engagement, customer satisfaction, and shareholder value.

  • Support the Group’s vision to be the customer’s first-choice health and beauty retailer by living and promoting company values.

Minimum Requirements:

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience post-community service

  • Minimum 1 year people management experience

  • Registration as Responsible Pharmacist with SAPC

Desirable:

  • Retail pharmacy experience

  • Unisolve system experience
