Job Overview
IQVIA is seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior HR Business Partner to align HR strategies with business objectives across our African operations. This role is critical in driving transformation, enhancing efficiency, and delivering high-impact HR solutions to leaders and employees. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with strong project management skills, capable of navigating a global matrix organization while fostering trust and collaboration at all levels.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic HR Partnership

  • Partner with business leaders to execute HR strategies that align with global and local business priorities.
  • Provide expert HR guidance on performance management, team development, and change management.
  • Analyze HR data to deliver actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making.

HR Efficiency & Policy Alignment

  • Lead initiatives to standardize HR processes and enhance operational efficiency across Africa.
  • Ensure HR policies comply with local regulations while aligning with business needs.
  • Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence (CoEs) on policy development and transformation projects.

Employee Wellbeing & Engagement

  • Design and implement a regional Wellbeing Plan addressing physical, emotional, financial, and workplace needs.
  • Drive engagement initiatives using employee feedback and HR metrics to enhance workplace culture.

Performance & Leadership Development

  • Coach managers on organizational effectiveness, leadership development, and career path planning.
  • Support change management efforts to ensure smooth transitions and employee alignment.

Compliance & ER Management

  • Ensure adherence to local labor laws, BBBEE requirements, and ethical HR practices.
  • Handle complex employee relations matters, including CCMA processes.

HR Analytics & Reporting

  • Utilize HR metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and present actionable recommendations.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and foster a solutions-oriented work environment.
  • Lead HR projects with precision while promoting a culture of professionalism and collaboration.

Qualifications & Skills

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • HR certifications (e.g., SHRM, CIPD) are a plus.

Experience:

  • 5+ years in HR with a mix of generalist and business partnering roles.
  • Expertise in HR strategy, transformation, and compliance in African markets.
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation (EE, BBBEE, CCMA).
  • Proficiency in Excel, HR analytics, and PowerPoint for data-driven storytelling.
