Major Module Specialist – Purpose of the Role
The Major Module Specialist is responsible for managing and controlling all technical, contractual, and compliance aspects related to major aircraft modules across the fleet. This role ensures adherence to airworthiness standards, lease agreements, and contractual obligations while minimising redelivery risk and optimising module availability throughout their lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Major Module Administration and Compliance

Review and verify major module records at induction and redelivery

Maintain accurate administrative and technical data for major modules throughout contractual periods

Ensure compliance with airworthiness requirements, lease conditions, and contractual obligations

Monitor applicability of ADS, SBS, and other regulatory updates impacting major modules
Lease and Contract Management

Monitor engine and airframe lease conditions to ensure compliance throughout the lease term

Identify and mitigate risks related to major module redelivery requirements

Ensure operational limitations within lease agreements are clearly communicated to Operations
-
Provide expert input on maintenance agreements and contractual requirements for major modules

Support management with contract assessments and contribute to new contract negotiations

Monitor commercial aspects of lease agreements related to major modules
Maintenance and Shop Visit Oversight

Prepare detailed shop visit work scopes for major modules
-
Coordinate and monitor shop visits to ensure compliance with technical, quality, and contractual standards

Verify that MRO, AMO, and CAMO activities align with lease and maintenance requirements

Ensure warranties and credits are identified, claimed, and processed correctly
Planning, Reporting, and Control

Plan and manage the movement and availability of major modules across the fleet

Ensure effective stock control of major modules to support operational requirements

Monitor invoice processing and apply escalations where required

Provide accurate, timely reporting to Lessors and internal stakeholders

Deliver forecasts to support effective contract and lifecycle management
Stakeholder Engagement and Continuous Improvement

Educate internal departments on major module compliance requirements

Implement controls, monitor adherence, and address non-compliance proactively

Communicate policy or contractual changes to relevant stakeholders

Maintain strong working relationships with Lessors, suppliers, and internal teams
-
Support team members to achieve departmental and organisational objectives
Minimum Requirements
-
Grade 12 or equivalent
-
Qualification in a relevant aviation technical field
-
5–8 years’ experience in technical contract administration or a related technical role
Experience and Knowledge (Advantageous)

Experience with CAMO maintenance systems

Background in aircraft records, aviation regulations, quality standards, and lease or engine contract administration

Strong understanding of aircraft systems and lease economic structures

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Understanding of generic CAMO control systems
