The Role
The National Key Account Manager is responsible for managing a high-value portfolio of customers within the PNP & Boxer Groups for Red Bull. This role requires an entrepreneurial mindset, strategic thinking, and strong execution to drive sales, volume, and profitability. You will develop mid-to-long-term customer strategies, leverage market insights, and build strong partnerships to achieve category leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy
- Execute Red Bull’s commercial strategy with key customers.
- Develop customer-specific growth strategies aligned with national sales objectives.
- Implement pricing strategies and promotional plans to maximize profitability.
- Drive innovation and long-term sales growth in the energy category.
Analysis & Planning
- Analyze market data (Nielsen, scanner, customer insights) to identify growth opportunities.
- Forecast sales, manage trade spend budgets, and optimize profitability.
- Create compelling sales presentations to reinforce Red Bull’s market leadership.
Execution
- Lead annual negotiations with key accounts, ensuring alignment with category growth strategies.
- Implement Red Bull’s Perfect Store and VIP programs across customer portfolios.
- Oversee merchandising and in-store execution with trade partners.
Tracking & Optimization
- Monitor sales performance, adjusting tactics to meet volume and profit targets.
- Evaluate promotional success and demonstrate Red Bull’s value to customers.
- Use data-driven insights to optimize in-store execution and distribution.
Collaboration
- Build strong customer relationships, positioning Red Bull as a strategic supplier.
- Work cross-functionally with Field Sales, Trade Marketing, and Distribution teams.
- Drive Category Captaincy to influence retail strategies in the energy sector.
Forecasting
- Forecast base and promotional volumes using predictive models (PET).
- Ensure demand planning aligns with overall business efficiency goals.
- Optimize pack mix to enhance profitability.
Experience & Skills
- 5+ years as a National Key Account Manager, preferably within PNP & Boxer Groups.
- Strong background in trade marketing, field sales, or consumer marketing (advantageous).
- Expertise in budget management, strategic planning, and commercial negotiation.
- Analytical thinker with experience in SAP/BI, Nielsen, and retail data analysis.
- Proven ability in price strategy implementation and front-line negotiations.
- Exceptional presentation and relationship-building skills.
- Willingness to travel 50-60% of the time.
