About the Role:
Our client in the insurance industry is seeking a skilled Technical Broker specializing in both Commercial and Personal Insurance. This role involves managing underwriting, policy administration, and providing expert advice to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end underwriting and policy administration for personal and commercial insurance lines.
- Support clients with renewals, endorsements, and quotation requests.
- Offer technical guidance on appropriate insurance solutions.
- Ensure adherence to FAIS, RE5, and regulatory standards.
- Negotiate terms and resolve queries with underwriters and insurers.
- Maintain accurate policy records and process documentation efficiently.
Requirements:
- RE5 Certificate (mandatory).
- Class of Business (COB) certification for Commercial and Personal Lines (mandatory).
- FAIS Compliance (mandatory).
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Technical Broker in both personal and commercial insurance.
- Strong understanding of underwriting and policy wording.
- Excellent communication, administrative, and client service skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle pressure.
Advantageous Qualifications:
- Proficiency in insurance systems (e.g., Tial, Santam).
- Relevant insurance qualification (e.g., NQF Level 4 in Short-Term Insurance).
Remuneration:
R30,000 – R35,000 per month.
