Marketing Assistant – Poetry at Cape Union Mart
Are you highly organised, detail-driven, and passionate about retail and fashion? We’re looking for a Marketing Assistant to join our dynamic team at Poetry.
In this role, you’ll report to the Poetry Brand Lead and play a pivotal role in supporting the Poetry Marketing Team to ensure key campaigns and seasonal projects run smoothly. From maintaining campaign calendars and coordinating promotions to assisting with budget tracking and internal communication, you’ll help connect teams and keep everyone aligned.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage marketing invoices and budget tracking, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Maintain campaign calendars and keep the broader team aligned with timelines and updates.
- Coordinate promotional rollouts, working with teams to brief, schedule, and execute campaigns.
- Update Point of Sale and in-store display screens to reflect current campaigns.
- Support product sourcing and stock movement for events, PR requests, and campaigns.
- Liaise with mall marketing partners to share content and identify promotional opportunities.
- Assist with production logistics, including PPMs, castings, samples, and stakeholder communication.
- Support shoot-day coordination, including sample management and on-site setup.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma or degree in Marketing (completed).
- 1–2 years of experience in retail or marketing.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word proficiency (CANVA is advantageous).
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Analytical mindset with comfort working with numbers and metrics.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license and own transport.
