The purpose of this role is to visit stores and distribution centres to ensure smooth operations and minimise failures, while building and maintaining relationships with the stores, distribution centres, and operational teams. As a Back Door Specialist, you will manage and resolve issues between the back door and Value operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Building and maintaining relationships with the back doors
- Conducting monthly visits to each back door to ensure compliance and smooth processing of stock
- Understanding the processes at each back door, from receipt to dispatch, as well as returns
- Maintaining and updating back door and DC requirements on a monthly basis
- Providing support to the back door in addressing issues and managing these with Value operations for resolution
- Driving actions required to meet deadlines and improving turnaround times at the back door
- Managing bookings and escalating potential challenges that may cause delays
- Implementing technology and integrations to improve procedures and enhance efficiency
- Minimising returns by managing procedures effectively
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Logistics/warehouse degree beneficial
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Retail and Distribution Centre back doors audits and problem-solving delayed offloading
- Own transport
