What will you do?

  • Drive customer base and revenue growth by developing and executing the retail branch strategy for Sanlam Retail Mass.
  • Guide and align Sales Consultants’ activities with the branch’s strategic goals.
  • Cultivate a service-driven culture to enhance client experiences within and beyond the branch.
  • Oversee daily branch operations, strategy development, and business planning.
  • Ensure sales targets are met while fostering a strong service ethos.
  • Maintain compliance, quality, and risk management standards.
  • Manage HR practices for direct reports, including talent development, performance, and capacity planning.
  • Conduct monthly planning and reporting on sales and service activities.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders (Area Managers, Business Owners, community forums).

Education and Experience:

  • Matric (Grade 12).
  • RE1 and RE5 certifications.
  • 120 Wealth Management credits or an FSCA-recognized tertiary qualification.
  • Annual Class of Business accreditation.
  • Compliance with CPD requirements.
  • 5+ years of industry experience, including 3 years in leadership.
  • Service Management, insurance sales, and credit/lending experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:

  • Sales strategies and stakeholder engagement.
  • Customer service excellence and regulatory knowledge.
  • Familiarity with Sanlam insurance products (preferred).
  • People management and business acumen.
  • Proficiency in data analytics, project management, and MS Office.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Target-driven, organised, adaptable, and resilient.
