Purpose Statement
- Liaise with the business to formulate business specifications and functional descriptions to meet business requirements.
- Collaborate with development teams to hand over functional descriptions.
- Compile test plans and ensure solutions align with business requirements.
- Conduct continuous business and industry research to evaluate new and existing solutions.
- Perform impact analysis for solutions and related changes, including peer systems.
- Identify risks, issues, and key decisions for project deliverables (understanding of Prince2 principles).
- Understand and conceptualize MIS/reporting needs from the solution.
- Ensure solutions comply with internal and external governance requirements.
- Demonstrate leadership in managing teams, processes, and operational change.
- Gather and document business requirements, develop functional & test documentation.
- Act as a liaison between stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors.
- Oversee testing, production support, and post-implementation validation.
- Drive innovation, process improvements, and timely solution delivery.
Qualifications (Minimum)
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Business Analysis
- Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational
Experience and Knowledge
Minimum Experience:
- 7+ years in Business Analysis
- Proven BA experience in a Product Specialist role
- Change management
- Basic project management
Minimum Knowledge:
- Business analysis & design
- IT systems development lifecycle
- Application development
- Testing practices & methodology
- Banking & IT standards & governance
- Financial principles
Ideal Knowledge:
- Agile & SDLC methodologies
- PRINCE2
