Assistant Branch Manager – Medirite Plus MH Parklands (Shoprite Holdings)
Medirite Plus MH Parklands is seeking a motivated and dedicated Assistant Branch Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support store operations, drive sales, and ensure exceptional customer experiences while upholding company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Maximization: Drive sustainable branch sales through effective management of unscheduled product lines, including specialized health and beauty ranges (Skincare, Cosmetics, Vitamins, Personal Care).
- Stock & Shrinkage Control: Minimize shrinkage, wastage, and in-store markdowns while maintaining optimal stock levels and replenishment processes.
- Merchandising & Pricing: Ensure shop floor presentation and on-shelf pricing meet company standards. Execute promotions accurately.
- Customer Service: Exceed customer expectations by maintaining a consumer-friendly environment.
- Performance & Reporting: Achieve monthly sales and profit targets. Provide accurate sales reports and actionable insights to the Regional Retail Manager.
- People Management: Lead, coach, and develop team members, ensuring compliance with company policies, training, and disciplinary procedures.
- Compliance & Safety: Adhere to hygiene, health, safety, and legislative standards.
Qualifications & Experience:
Essential:
- Grade 12 qualification.
- Minimum 2 years of retail sales management or supervisory experience.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong communication, numeracy, and retail sales skills.
- Bilingual proficiency (Afrikaans and English preferred).
- Leadership, administrative, and customer service excellence.
- Knowledge of payment systems, merchandising, and regulatory compliance.
- Familiarity with ShopPos, OBS, or similar retail systems.
