Job Objectives

  • Lead and implement business-driven learning programmes across the Shoprite Group, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
  • Collaborate with Learning Business Partners and stakeholders to identify and prioritise learning needs.
  • Oversee the non-accredited training delivery calendar, ensuring seamless coordination across departments.
  • Maintain high-quality standards by evaluating Trainers and external providers, offering feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Uphold compliance with learning delivery standards and service level agreements.
  • Conduct audits and risk assessments to ensure training delivery excellence.
  • Monitor learning initiatives and measure their impact in partnership with Learning Business Partners.
  • Enhance learner experience through a learner-centric approach and actionable recommendations.
  • Quality-assure programmes and provide developmental guidance to Trainers.
  • Drive consistency in learning delivery across online, blended, and in-person formats.
  • Leverage learning analytics to inform strategic decision-making and refine programmes.
  • Deliver evaluation reports per programme and ensure accurate training data management.
  • Coach and mentor Trainers to enhance facilitation skills and delivery quality.
  • Manage learning administrators to ensure efficient programme execution.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships, including partnerships with training providers.
  • Oversee centralised and decentralised learning programmes, ensuring effective project management.

Qualifications

  • OD-ETDP Level 5 Certification or Assessor (essential).
  • Degree in Human Resource Management or related field (preferred).

Experience

  • 5+ years in Learning and Development Management (essential).
  • 10+ years facilitating training for diverse audiences, including behavioural training (essential).
  • Retail or FMCG industry experience (preferred).

Knowledge and Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (essential).
