Job Title: Behavioural Detection Officers
PRR Recruitment is seeking Behavioural Detection Officers (BDOs) to join a dynamic security team. The BDO will be responsible for monitoring alarms and CCTV systems, reporting incidents, and ensuring effective communication with operational teams, clients, and authorities. The ideal candidate must have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to perform under pressure.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12 (NQF Level 4)
- PSIRA Grade C registration
- Computer literacy
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong telephone etiquette
- Technical knowledge of alarm systems, CCTV, and two-way radios (advantageous)
- Ability to analyze body language and risk behavior (advantageous)
Key Duties
Reporting
- Accurately record and hand over incidents in the Occurrence Book (OB)
- Submit weekly and monthly reports on alarms, incidents, and site security
- Notify relevant personnel of issues and follow up on resolutions
Monitoring & Response
- Monitor CCTV and alarm systems 24/7
- Assess suspicious activity and deploy the nearest response unit
- Coordinate with operational teams and escalate critical concerns
- Oversee CPI vehicle movements and system operations
General Responsibilities
- Liaise with clients, management, and staff
- Professionally manage incoming calls and direct them as needed
- Respond to client-reported incidents and deploy task teams
