Fidelity Vacancies – Operations Manager

Job Purpose:

We have two vacant positions for Operations Managers at our Robertville branch in Johannesburg. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure all site-specific security requirements are met, and that client needs are efficiently and professionally addressed as per the Service Level Agreement (SLA). The Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring that Security Officers are properly posted and that operations are managed effectively and in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 (Matric) Certificate or equivalent
  • PSIRA Grade A/B registration and accreditation (up-to-date)
  • No criminal record or pending cases
  • Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport
  • Minimum of 2–5 years’ Site Supervisory or Management experience
  • Staff management experience is essential
  • Computer literacy
  • Physically fit and in good health
  • Must reside in the greater Johannesburg area or be willing to relocate at own cost

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster good relationships between Fidelity Security Services and clients regarding security services rendered
  • Provide daily feedback and liaise with Fidelity Security Services Management and clients
  • Compile, distribute, and communicate daily, weekly, and monthly reports
  • Handle incident, accident, and investigation report compilation and distribution
  • Obtain statements for all investigations
  • Ensure timely posting of Security Officers to cover the site adequately, including day and night shifts as per the Client’s SLA agreement
  • Ensure all Security Officers meet the client’s contractual requirements
  • Manage staff discipline and attend CCMA or Labour Court if necessary
  • Evaluate service levels and make recommendations for improvements
  • Continuously assess the Client’s premises to minimize access risks and create barriers against potential threats
  • Audit and verify access registers daily and generate exception reports

  • Experience in investigation techniques and report writing
  • Ability to work extended or flexible hours as needed
  • Capacity to work well under pressure and independently
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and planning skills
