Actuarial Specialist: Capital and Projects – Hollard
This role will support the Hollard Long-term Corporate Actuarial team, with a primary focus on the Capital and Projects function. Responsibilities include managing capital calculations, driving efficiencies, and overseeing project deliverables to enhance team capabilities and meet stakeholder expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with capital calculations for Hollard’s two life licenses.
- Perform SAM liability calculations, Own Funds assessments, and SCR cover ratios.
- Contribute to annual budgets, forecasts, and ongoing business performance monitoring.
- Consolidate results and calculate key SAM-based profit metrics, such as Net Generated Equity and Return on Capital.
- Support the implementation of capital optimization initiatives, including the Iterative Risk Margin project.
- Develop and refine solutions for efficient balance sheet management, including reinsurance structuring.
- Conduct stress and scenario testing to evaluate business resilience under various conditions.
- Prepare and review regulatory submissions for the Prudential Authority, FSCA, ASISA, NCR, and other bodies.
- Provide technical guidance on dividend impacts for solvency across both long-term licenses.
- Contribute insights and commentary for the Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA).
