Millwright (Milling) – AFGRI
Job Purpose:
To ensure the efficient and effective operation of electrical and mechanical systems through maintenance and repairs.
Required Minimum Education/Training:
- N3 or Grade 12
- Trade Test (Electrical and Mechanical)
Required Minimum Work Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Millwright
Key Performance Areas:
- Perform plant maintenance (electrical and mechanical).
- Conduct inspections and breakdown repairs on production machinery/equipment.
- Execute tasks as instructed by the Engineering Foreman.
- Assist in minor projects to improve facility operations.
- Maintain a clean work area and adhere to health and safety policies.
Technical Knowledge/Competencies:
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Problem-solving skills
- Crisis management
Behavioural Competencies:
- Self-starter with a hands-on approach
- Ability to work independently
- Troubleshooting skills and composure under pressure
