What will you do?
As a Branch Consultant / Financial Advisor, you will drive Sanlam Retail Mass (SRM)’s market share by:
- Providing expert financial advice and exceptional client service within a branch setting.
- Identifying client needs and recommending tailored financial solutions.
- Proactively optimising client portfolios through cross-selling and value-added products.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Delivery
- Master SRM product offerings to provide accurate, client-focused advice.
- Assess client financial goals and recommend suitable, affordable solutions.
- Keep clients informed of product updates and adjust portfolios as needed.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for new business submissions.
- Conduct client due diligence and mitigate risks.
- Balance appointment schedules while maximizing walk-in opportunities.
In-Branch Client Service & Retention
- Maintain client relationships to ensure long-term policy retention.
- Proactively follow up with clients, including payment reminders and support.
- Address NTUs (Not Taken Up) and implement corrective measures.
- Monitor payment persistency and propose alternative arrangements.
- Resolve client queries or escalate using approved protocols, ensuring timely feedback.
Quality, Compliance & Development
- Adhere to compliance standards and ethical practices.
- Maintain FAIS qualifications, CPD points, and product knowledge.
- Identify and report risks or fraudulent activities.
- Document advice and activities in line with SOPs and regulatory requirements.
Monthly Planning & Reporting
- Track and report daily activities via designated platforms.
- Compile data for weekly/monthly reports.
- Fulfill ad-hoc requests from the Retail Branch Manager.
Qualifications & Experience
- 1+ year in sales/marketing (insurance branch experience preferred).
- Matric (Grade 12); RE5 certification advantageous.
- FAIS Compliant (Wealth Management per DOFA).
- Must complete Class of Business training within 12 months of hire.
