Role: Customer Advisor
Role Objective
As a Customer Advisor at Capita, you will be the frontline representative of our client, a leading UK telecommunications provider. You will handle inbound customer inquiries, resolve issues, and identify sales opportunities through exceptional service. Your goal is to enhance customer satisfaction while meeting performance targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for customers, answering inquiries and providing solutions.
- Handle a variety of call types, including billing, account updates, and product-related questions.
- Identify sales opportunities through customer interactions and promote relevant products/services.
- Support vulnerable customers with empathy and tailored solutions.
- Resolve escalated complaints with professionalism, adhering to policies and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and follow up as needed.
- Meet daily service delivery targets while ensuring compliance with data protection laws.
Professional Requirements:
Academic:
- Grade 12 (Matric)
Experience:
- 12 months of international BPO customer service experience OR
- 24 months of domestic customer service experience.
- Proven ability in sales-through-service strategies.
Working Relationships:
Internal: Operations/Functional Teams
External: Customers

- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
- Active listening and problem-solving skills.
- Sales acumen with a customer-centric approach.

About the Campaign:
You will support a major UK telecom provider, handling queries such as SIM swaps, network issues, and billing. The campaign operates in UK time with shifts in South African hours:
Operating Hours (SA Time):
- Monday–Sunday (9AM – 9PM)
- Flexibility required for rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays (e.g., Christmas Day).
