Responsibilities
As a Business Development Representative, you will:
- Maximize revenue, profitability, and market penetration within a defined Wholesale customer base through strategic selling.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Execute promotional campaigns to drive brand growth and customer engagement.
- Ensure in-stock availability meets 95% service levels and supports New Product Development (NPD) speed to market.
- Apply EDGE (Every Day Great Execution) principles to optimize store performance.
- Collaborate with merchandising teams to enhance product placement and visibility.
- Drive market share growth through proactive sales strategies.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- A three-year tertiary qualification in a relevant field.
- 5-7 years of current sales or business development experience, preferably in FMCG.
- A strong sales network and proven connections in the industry.
- A track record of delivering measurable business results.
- Self-motivation with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High integrity, intelligence, and a proactive “I can do it” attitude.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Experience in direct selling and a deep understanding of marketing principles.
