Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
- Manage product life cycles from entry to exit.
- Drive productivity in stock movements related to deliveries, receiving, and transfers.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of Heart of House and stockroom layouts.
- Execute store operations with a focus on product and consumer service in line with brand standards.
- Provide expertise, feedback, and coaching to subordinates and the store team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and work toward meeting or exceeding store targets using available resources.
- Maximize sales opportunities by prioritizing merchandise flow to the sales floor.
- Serve as a role model for stockroom operations, ensuring adherence to processes while providing productivity feedback.
- Complete deliveries accurately and efficiently, following stock protection procedures.
- Manage all stock movement records (in-store and Omnichannel) in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with line managers to ensure adequate consumables for an efficient working environment.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and adjustments.
- Oversee stockroom health and safety compliance, adhering to all policies and procedures.
- Identify improvement opportunities and communicate suggestions to drive commercial success.
- Lead and train the stockroom team, managing performance via the company’s performance system (#MyBest).
- Collaborate productively with all team members to achieve store goals.
- Support team members as needed and actively seek development opportunities.
Key Relationships:
- Customers, Inventory Control Team, Merchandising Team, Logistics Team, Peers, and Supervisors.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Adapt communication style to suit internal and external stakeholders.
- Handle multiple priorities while maintaining professionalism in difficult situations.
- Leverage retail expertise to optimize sales through Omnichannel and merchandise flow.
- Assist the team proactively as directed by the line manager.
- Maintain an organized and efficient stockroom with strong attention to detail.
- Mandatory: Stockroom management or people management experience.
Requisite Education and Experience:
- Minimum 5 years in sports/fashion retail with expertise in stock management and logistics.
- Strong numerical, literacy, and verbal communication skills.
- At least 2 years in a Senior Stockroom Management role.
