About the Role
As the Allocator, you will be responsible for overseeing stock allocation for the Outdoor portfolio in line with Cape Union Mart Group standards. Your role will involve collaborating with planners and buyers, optimizing stock distribution, and ensuring efficient replenishment to maximize sales and store performance.
Key Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Planners and Buyers to implement the Merchandise Strategy effectively.
- Execute Allocation strategy based on store turnover and profile insights.
- Optimize stock allocation from the Distribution Centre to stores using trade and performance data.
- Provide analytical support and feedback to influence Planning and Buying decisions.
- Conduct detailed store and merchandise analysis (style and sizing).
- Monitor store performance and provide actionable recommendations.
- Serve as a key liaison between stores, suppliers, and the Distribution Centre.
- Manage replenishment efficiently.
- Maintain clear communication with stores and field teams.
- Track product performance and take corrective actions as needed.
- Conduct store visits where necessary.
Requirements:
- 2–3 years’ experience as a Retail/Merchandise/Product/Store Allocator in a retail setting.
- Matric and a relevant qualification in the field.
- Strong numeracy skills and a strategic mindset.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels.
- Ability to problem-solve and work independently.
- Proven decision-making skills.
- Advanced MS Excel proficiency and/or experience with Planning Tools.
