Job Description
As an Assurance Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality audit engagements to drive change and improvement across the De Beers Group Upstream and Midstream operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, resource, and execute assigned audit projects in alignment with ABAS standards and the annual audit plan.
- Lead end-to-end audit engagements, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets:
- Conduct audit planning, including scoping, risk assessments, and work programs.
- Execute audits using appropriate methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Maintain thorough audit documentation and evidence.
- Draft audit reports with clear insights and actionable recommendations.
- Engage confidently with stakeholders to discuss audit findings, risks, and remediation actions.
- Support internal audit initiatives, including knowledge-sharing and quality assurance programs.
- Assist in preparing briefing materials for senior management and executive meetings.
- Commit to continuous professional development to enhance skills and industry knowledge.
Qualifications
- Degree in accounting or auditing.
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) qualification.
Advantageous Skills:
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, internal control frameworks, and IIA standards.
- Proficiency in audit tools such as:
- TeamMate
- ERP systems
- Audit data analytics tools
