ENVIRONMENT:
Join a dynamic Mobile Specialist as a confident, digitally savvy Online Sales Key Account Manager in Cape Town or Johannesburg. This role focuses on managing and expanding key online and retail sales accounts, including eCommerce platforms, digital marketplaces, and online/offline retailers. You will drive growth through strategic account management, digital business development, and optimization of product visibility while ensuring exceptional customer experiences. The ideal candidate is a results-driven professional with strong analytical, negotiation, and digital sales expertise, committed to long-term growth with the company.

DUTIES:

Online Account Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key eCommerce retailers, online marketplaces, and direct-to-consumer platforms.
  • Track and analyze online sell-in and sell-out rates to ensure accurate forecasting and inventory management.
  • Optimize digital product listings for competitive pricing, compelling content, and visual appeal.
  • Monitor and enhance customer ratings, reviews, and brand perception across online platforms.
  • Resolve client issues promptly to improve satisfaction and retention.

Digital Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the company’s online presence and market share.
  • Prospect online sales leads, analyze eCommerce trends, and engage with digital retailers.
  • Develop strategies to boost conversion rates, sales velocity, and customer engagement.
  • Collaborate with Marketing teams to refine digital campaigns, promotions, and search engine visibility.
  • Provide competitor insights and market intelligence to inform pricing and promotional strategies.

Sales Strategy and Execution:

  • Implement data-driven strategies to meet or exceed online revenue and profitability targets.
  • Analyze performance across online/offline accounts, identifying growth opportunities.
  • Deliver tailored digital sales presentations and business proposals.
  • Ensure alignment between online sales objectives and company goals.
  • Submit accurate sales reports, forecasts, and performance insights.

eCommerce & Digital Marketing Collaboration:

  • Partner with Marketing to enhance visibility and sales on key platforms.
  • Develop and execute promotional campaigns, including flash sales and seasonal offers.
  • Analyze consumer behavior to improve online sales performance.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3–5 years of experience in Online/Offline Sales, eCommerce Account Management, or Digital Business Development.
  • Proven track record in offline account management with a focus on key account growth.
  • Experience in telecommunications, mobile handset distribution, or consumer electronics is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to exceed online sales targets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with eCommerce platforms (e.g., Takealot, Amazon, Shopify).
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to analyze sales data.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (for client meetings when required).

Advantageous:

  • Qualification or certification in Sales, Business Management, or Digital Marketing.
