Introduction:
As a Business Analyst in our Business Enablement team, you will gather, analyze, document, and validate business stakeholder needs. You will serve as the key link between business stakeholders and the data warehouse development team, ensuring data insights drive strategic decisions.
The Job at a Glance:
Your role will focus on interpreting data to deliver actionable insights, enhancing long-term insurance metrics, and shaping business strategy. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, perform gap analysis, and translate requirements into functional specifications.
What Will You Do?
- Identify, assess, and provide solutions to business requirements.
- Liaise with stakeholders to document and validate business needs.
- Analyze existing solutions and propose feasible alternatives where necessary.
- Assess business impact, develop use cases, and support design reviews.
- Collaborate with IT and testing teams to ensure alignment with expectations.
- Facilitate new functionality implementation through clear documentation.
- Develop test scripts and validate results against business needs.
What You’ll Bring to the Table?
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree (NQF Level 7) in a business or technical discipline.
- Business Analyst Certification (FTI) is advantageous.
- Postgraduate business degree is a plus.
- 3–5 years of consulting experience with senior management.
- Insurance or financial services industry experience is required.
- Experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria in Agile environments.
- Strong SQL skills and familiarity with Agile (Scrum) methodologies.
- Technical expertise in databases (Hadoop, SQL Server), ETL (SSIS, Informatica), and BI tools (PowerBI, Tableau).
- Regulatory project experience (Basel III, PoPI, BCBS 239) is beneficial.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic gap identification skills.
