What will you do?
As a Sanlam Financial Planner in Ceres, you will provide professional financial advice, planning, and tailored products to new and existing clients. Your role involves:
- Building sustainable, high-quality business aligned with targets.
- Maintaining long-term client relationships to foster brand loyalty.
- Ensuring compliance and ethical practices in all engagements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Growth
- Execute marketing plans to drive growth per Sanlam’s distribution strategy.
- Leverage market segmentation and customer insights to support sales.
- Meet targets for revenue generation (single/recurring premiums), activity quotas, and brand promotion.
2. Networking & Prospecting
- Generate leads via face-to-face interactions, social networks, and presentations.
- Strengthen client relationships and identify cross-selling opportunities.
- Implement targeted campaigns and mine existing clients for sales opportunities.
3. Client Consultations & Sales
- Conduct compliant, fact-based financial needs analyses.
- Deliver personalized financial planning advice using e-tools or para-planners.
- Present solutions professionally, ensuring adherence to Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles.
4. Client Service Excellence
- Provide ethical, courteous, and professional service.
- Resolve queries promptly and foster long-term relationships.
- Stay updated on market trends to enhance client value.
5. Reporting & Monitoring
- Track contacts, appointments, issued business, and revenue vs. targets.
- Maintain accurate client records and workflow systems.
Qualifications & Experience
- Grade 12.
- FAIS “Fit and Proper” requirements and Regulatory Examination (if registered with FSCA >24 months).
Skills & Knowledge
- Financial advisory, compliance, and risk management.
- Client relationship management and financial planning.
- Target-driven with strong budgeting skills.

- Effective communicator, tech-savvy, and action-oriented.
- Strong interpersonal skills and persuasive ability.
