Collections Consultant (Contract) – HomeChoice
This role is ideal for a proactive individual who will be responsible for contacting customers with outstanding debt to negotiate reasonable repayment plans. The goal is to generate cash flow, minimize bad debt, and assist distressed borrowers in financial rehabilitation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve performance targets by meeting collection standards set by the department.
- Maintain operational and quality efficiencies.
- Educate and guide customers on their payment obligations.
- Deliver exceptional customer service at all times.
- Negotiate payments professionally and efficiently, adhering to call scripts and dialler schedules.
- Uphold a professional and courteous demeanor, representing the company positively.
Requirements:
- Grade 12/Matric or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of collections experience in a Contact Centre environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Email, Internet).
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage conflicts constructively.
- Clear criminal and ITC record.
- Must not be debarred or deemed unfit under the FAIS Act.
