Position Overview
Motus Retail 1 Division (Cargo Motors) is seeking a dynamic New and Used Vehicle Sales Manager for their Tzaneen branch. The successful candidate will oversee the sales operations, ensuring customer satisfaction, team performance, and dealership profitability. This role involves managing all aspects of new and used vehicle sales while maintaining strong relationships with customers, manufacturers, and internal departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive market share growth through strategic marketing of Mercedes Benz, Haval, and Jetour in the target market.
  • Achieve monthly sales forecasts and exceed Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) targets.
  • Oversee daily operations to ensure optimal productivity and performance.
  • Foster positive relationships with manufacturers, customers, service, and parts departments.
  • Implement effective customer retention strategies.
  • Lead and motivate frontline and administrative teams for peak efficiency.
  • Manage stock levels and vehicle deliveries effectively.

Specific Role Responsibilities

  • Maximize sales and profitability through customer retention.
  • Develop a high-performing sales team to meet business objectives.
  • Maintain optimal vehicle stock and inventory control.
  • Monitor and control departmental costs within budget.
  • Ensure adequate product display materials are available.
  • Review pricing policies, discounts, and trade-ins to sustain dealership profitability.
  • Track financial performance weekly.
  • Resolve customer complaints promptly and effectively.
  • Achieve customer satisfaction and expectation targets.
  • Control direct and indirect costs in line with company guidelines.
  • Establish staffing levels and training programs to support sales goals.
  • Supervise floorplan management and stock compliance.
  • Maximize sales of back-end products (finance, insurance, warranties).

Qualifications & Experience

  • Matric / Grade 12 certification.
  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience in the motor industry.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Certified Management certification (advantageous).
  • Experience with Kerridge system (advantageous).
