What will you do?
As a Branch Consultant/ Financial Advisor, you will drive Sanlam Retail Mass (SRM)’s market growth by:

  • Delivering expert financial advice and exceptional client service.
  • Identifying client needs and recommending tailored financial solutions.
  • Maximizing client optimization and cross-selling opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Delivery:

  • Master SRM products to offer informed recommendations.
  • Assess client needs and provide affordable, goal-aligned solutions.
  • Communicate product updates and adjust client portfolios accordingly.
  • Ensure compliance, conduct due diligence, and process new business accurately.
  • Prioritize appointments while efficiently managing walk-in clients.

In-Branch Client Service & Retention:

  • Maintain client relationships to ensure policy retention.
  • Proactively follow up on payments, queries, and support needs.
  • Address NTUs (Not Taken Up) and improve payment persistency.
  • Resolve client queries or escalate using established protocols.
  • Guide clients through policy cancellations with viable alternatives.

Quality, Compliance & Development:

  • Adhere to regulatory and internal compliance standards.
  • Maintain FAIS compliance, CPD points, and product certifications.
  • Identify and report risks or fraudulent activities.
  • Document client interactions and maintain accurate records.

Monthly Planning & Reporting:

  • Submit daily activity reports via approved platforms.
  • Compile data for weekly/monthly reporting deadlines.
  • Assist with ad-hoc tasks as required by the Branch Manager.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Matric (Grade 12).
  • 1+ year in sales/marketing (insurance branch experience preferred).
  • RE5 and FAIS compliance (Wealth Management) advantageous.
  • Class of Business training (completed within 12 months of hire).

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Broker support and new/existing business administration.
  • Business development and partnership building.
  • Coaching and team collaboration.
